djo-Deutsche Jugend in Europa

The djo-German Youth in Europe is a charitable, apolitical and multi-denominational youth organisation, which is active in the fields of cultural and political youth work.

We are a recognised free institution for aiding youth and we stand for a unified, democratic Europe, in which the divisive nature of frontiers is transcended.

Within the framework of our youth work, we support the cultural activity of young immigrants as a means of establishing identity and an aid to integration.

The djo-German Youth in Europe organises youth exchange and cultural get-togethers with East Middle, Eastern and South East European countries. These are geared up towards reconciliation and increased mutual understanding.

Another emphasis of our work is the commitment to a global proscription of expulsions and a commitment to the social, political and cultural rights of refugees and those who have been expelled.

Anyone can join in with us. Birthplace, nationality, skin colour: it does not matter. What is important is having fun with youth work and having the desire to encounter one’s fellow human beings. And above all, in the cultural areas: music, dance, theatre and a lot more. In the DJO-German Youth in Europe, (nearly) anything goes.
